Summer Camp Counselor | Day School
Counselors will be responsible for the following things:
  • Managing the travel and general behavior of a group of 5-12 campers.
  • Leading fun games and Gross Motor Activities during down time and gym time for campers ages 2-3, 4-5, or 1st-2nd Grade.
  • Changing diapers (for young campers) or assisting with clothing changes for campers when necessary/when accidents occur.
  • Assisting campers in the bathroom when necessary.
  • Maintaining a safe and orderly environment for campers with the assistance of other camp staff members.
  • Supervising campers while they eat lunch and snack with the assistance of other camp staff members.
  • Reading stories to campers during reading time.

Reading/Reenacting and Music Specialist | Day School
The Reading/Reenacting and Music Specialist will be responsible for:
  • Planning daily activities for various age groups in their specific content area.
  • Lead students in story reading and reenacting activities that have to do with the theme of the week.
  • Lead students in singing songs and playing musical instruments that relate back to the weekly theme.
  • Assist in the supervision of campers while they eat lunch.
  • Work with other Specialists to set up activity stations outside each day of camp for afternoon activity time.
  • Assist Counselors during Afternoon Outdoor Activities, Dropoff, and Pickup times.

Gross Motor and Outdoor/Forestry Specialist | Day School
The Gross Motor and Outdoor/Forestry Specialist will be responsible for:
  • Planning daily activities for various age groups in their specific content area.
  • Keep students occupied with physical activities in the gymnasium that pertain (loosely) to the weekly theme.
  • Lead students in outdoor/forestry activities that are appropriate for their age level and relate (loosely) to the weekly theme.
  • Maintain student safety in their area and promote structured play in the gymnasium and outside.
  • Assist in the supervision of campers while they eat lunch.
  • Work with other Specialists to set up activity stations outside each day of camp for afternoon activity time.
  • Assist Counselors during Afternoon Outdoor Activities, Dropoff, and Pickup times.
