Our Community

We have been in existence since our first Divine Liturgy in a high school in 1974.

Since that time, we have endured, grown, and achieved many milestones by the grace of God and through the visions and hard work of many who have gone before us.  We forged ahead to build not only a building, but also a church of the faithful, who possessed vision and lofty goals.  We cannot cease to continue our vision – we are only inspired by them.

We are one of the largest churches in the Northwest suburbs and we are named after our patron saint - Saint Nectarios, Bishop of Pentopolis, the Wonder Worker, known as the patron Saint of healing cancer and other diverse malodies.  Countless families within our own community can share miracles rendered unto them by this wondrous saint.

Our vision and mission is to have our parish succeed and prosper through stewardship by utilizing our time, talents and treasures for glory of God and his people. In 2013, we have embraced our Awakening program and we are very excited to be able to offer over 600 families in our parish 80 ministries for them to be a part of.

Newcomers and visitors are always welcome at St. Nectarios!  We hope you and your family choose our parish to sow and deepen your faith and relationship with Christ through the intercessions of St. Nectarios.

Come and join our St. Nectarios Community as "One Family"!
