JOY - Junior Orthodox Youth

Kindergarten to 5th graders meet on the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month from 6:30-8:30 p.m. The objective of JOY Youth Ministry is to develop a love for the Church and fellowship amongst one another as we strive to better ourselves and the world around us.

JOY Youth Ministry Night
1st and 3rd Monday of each month
from 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.

Every other Monday we meet at St. Nectarios Church to have fun with our friends and learn about our faith as we gather in the Church. We also have fun in the gym and enjoy a light snack brought by one of the JOY parents.

Saint of the Week
Every Youth Ministry Night for the JOY we offer a story for a particular Saint while the children enjoy their snack.

It is our hope that parents will frequent this site often to learn who the Saint of the Week is to share with your child the life of these giants of our faith and encourage your child to pray for that saint’s intercessions.

Monthly Activities:
Each Month JOY will participate in a service project that strives to teach about the need to help others.

OCTOBER – Help our Church -

Clean and care for the Church

NOVEMBER – Help our City -

Collect coats, food for the needy  of Palatine

DECEMBER – Help the World -

Participate in the Adopt a Family Program, Angel Tree, and raise money for S.U.D.S.
