Learning the Greek language is like discovering the roots of education.

 

 

St. Nectarios Greek School is committed to providing a pleasant and nurturing learning environment where students can discover their talents and cultivate new skills in the study of the Greek language and culture. We offer a variety of programs for children in Pre-School through 6th grade, as well as adults.

 

 

There are 2 programs available for children. The Traditional Greek Program is on Tuesday and Friday from 4:15 pm – 6:30 pm for children in Pre-School through 6th grade. This program has a strong focus on conversation, while offering additional instruction in grammar, reading, writing, history, mythology and culture. Classes for the 2011-2012 school year begin Friday, September 9th.

 

 

NEW   

This Fall, we are also offering a 1-day per week Conversational Greek Program for children ages 4-12.for children ages 4-12. This program will be held on Wednesdays from 4:15 pm – 6:30 pm and will mainly focus on helping children enrich their vocabulary and become confident in understanding and conversing in the Greek language..Classes for the 2011-2012 school year begin Wednesday, September 7th.

 

 

Instructional Dance lessons are also available to all children in Grades 3-8 for the Traditional Program and beginning at age 8 for the Conversational Program. Children not enrolled in Greek school are also welcome to sign-up for dance class. Lessons are held on Friday evenings from 6:30 pm – 7:15 pm.

 

 

Adults interested in learning the Greek language may enroll in the Adult Conversation Program on Tuesdays from 7-9 pm at the church. Each session runs for 15 weeks.The fall 2011 session begins on Tuesday, September 6th.

 

 

Please use the appropriate registration packet, included in this website, to enroll for any of the above programs and submit them to the church to the attention of Sofia Bishop. You may also register in person during the Greek school hours referenced above.
