Dimitri Tobias
Dimitri Tobias is a graduate of Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology where he earned his Masters in Divinity in 2007. He received a Bachelor's in Religious Education from Hellenic College in 2004. Prior to starting at St. Nectarios full time in August of 2009, Dimitri worked for the Metropolis of Chicago as the Metropolis Registrar, Assistant to the Hierarchs, and webmaster of the Metropolis of Chicago website from May of 2007 until August of 2009.
At St. Nectarios Dimitri leads the Youth Ministries, Adult Education, and pastoral programs of the Church under the direction of Rev. Fr. Peter G. Balkas. Dimitri also manages the content and updates of the St. Nectarios website along with the rest of the website team. James Macnider
A member of St. Nectarios since 1994, James became a member of the Parish Council in 2004, serving as the Vice-President and Treasurer. Currently, James also serves as a member of the Church Guild. Jim is supported by his wonderful wife Gloria and his five grown children. James retired June of 2010 from Schaumburg High School after serving 38 years as a teacher, department chair and coach of cross country and track.
James coordinates all church business activities, managing service contracts, the community center rentals and working with various committees of the Parish Council. James reports directly to Father Peter on all business affairs of the church.

Elayne Sarelas
A member of the St. Nectarios Community since 1991 after moving to Palatine, Illinois from Chicago with husband, Alex and children, Jason and Stefany. As a steward of the parish for ten years, and having left her position as a paralegal, Elayne sought to contribute more to her community by volunteering her time and talents to the church office. This led to a permanent position in 2002 as the office needs increased.
Elayne can usually be found at her desk scheduling sacraments, doing accounts receivables & payables, and a myriad of other jobs. She feels privileged to work with the talented people at St. Nectarios and truly enjoys the challenges of keeping the office running smoothly. The community of St. Nectarios is full of wonderful people who love their faith and church and their dedication, generosity and spirit brings her a sincere and true admiration for all of them. Angie Mulè
A member of the St. Nectarios parish since 2003, and as the needs of the office grew, she joined the office staff in 2008. As the editor of the weekly bulletin and the monthly Voice along with Fr. Peter, her keen eye for design and content make our publications newsworthy. The daily activities of the office, scheduling appointments, answering phone calls and emails while directing the janitorial staff for the various set-ups of the many activities and maintaining the office calendar leaves little time for anything else. Angie is hardworking, meticulous and conscientious of all the functions at St. Nectarios.
Angie resides in Schaumburg with husband Vince and is the dear Aunt and Godmother of Joseph who is the apple of her eye.

Volunteer
Alma Shubalis
A member of St. Nectarios since 1979 and an active member of the Philoptchos and Nectarians. Enjoys volunteering in the office two days a week and heads the Volunteer Group to do large mailings and events. If you would like to join the volunteer group, contact Alma at almadoras2@comcast.net or by calling the church office 847-358-5170 on Tuesday or Thursday. Show me a person who spends endless hours in training without pay, and always has a smile on her face – meet our volunteer Alma Shubalis. We don’t know what we would do without her.

A member of St. Nectarios since 1983 and heading this ministry as of November 2010, which is responsible for improvements and maintenance to the Church building and grounds.
