Marriage Seminar 

Spring Date: February 13, 2010

11:00 am - 1:00 pm

All couples seeking to marry at St. Nectarios  Greek Orthodox Church are required to attend three Premarital Counseling Sessions. These should be completed three to six months prior to the wedding date.

1. Couples must meet with the Pastoral Lay Assistant to fill in paperwork and also recieve answers to general questions the couple may have

2. Couples must attend one Marriage seminar that the Church offers in both the Spring and the Fall

3. Couples must meet with Rev. Fr. Peter Balkas  for individual questions and counseling before the marriage

In accordance with the Premarital Counseling Requirements Rev. Fr. Peter Balkas offers in both the Spring and the Fall Marriage Seminars for both perspective couples and for families within the community. 

On October 26, for the Fall 2009 Marriage Seminar, St. Netarios Greek Orthodox Church was blessed to have Dr. Ary Christofidis give a wonderful interactive seminar to seventy five people. This Seminar tried to answer the question as to Struggles Orthodox Christian Families face in today's culture. Dr. Ary placed heavy emphasis on the importance of spending time with one's family as the social disconnect deteriorates the family and th social adjustments of growing children.
